I've read some posts about how they heard someone PM with eurocom with another clevo dealer like Xoticpc. So I tried (email and phone) to no avail. They said they do not PM Sager... So I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has actually been able to PM with eurocom?

I live in Canada so I would rather buy from within the country so I dont have to deal with border fees/warranty issues and whatever else.

The only thing is Eurocoms prices do not come close to any of the US dealers.

a number of NBR members have successfully brought the prices from Eurocom down by contacting them directly to negotiate pricing.

Yeah they will price match, they pretty much have to, in order to stay alive and sell laptops lol, because you know with those prices they aren't selling many, their website prices are just a gouging tactic, they post outrageous prices hoping a sucker who doesn't know better will come along and make them rich.

Just configure a laptop at Xotic then contact John Shore at Eurocom and quote him the price, he will go to their website configure it exactly like you did and then they will sell it to you for that same price and warranty in USD, Don't forget to mention NBR when you talk to them :), and double check with them to make sure they are sending you the correct parts for your laptop, they have been known in the past to ship people laptops with parts they didn't order, like wrong video card, wrong wifi card, wrong hard drive etc, be careful of this.

Umm.. No they don't price-match. They do negociate tho, so you might have a drop in the price of about 5% or a little more. But I live in Canada too, and even with the 150$ shipping + 7,5% tax that I had to pay with xoticpc, it still ended up costing less than buying from the ''negociated'' price from eurocom.

Umm yes they do price match, at least for NBR members anyway, because they know here their reputation here is important to them, as NBR can make or break a company.

They price matched my laptop with Xotic no questions asked.

Well I called a couple of weeks ago and talked with John Shore and he flat out told me he can not match sager... however I did not mention anything about NBR. What he basically did was pull up the web configurator and enter what I wanted and quoted me the price. The same price when I did it myself. I guess I should try again. I also emailed John with a quoted price from Xoticpc but he did not respond ~3 weeks ago.

Going through Xotic would be cheaper to me even after all the extra fees but I'm worried about warranty because shipping across the border could add up quite quick.

Just mention to him that you are a member of NBR and you heard of Eurocom from there and tell him you want a price match on a certain model, that's what I did, he configed it and they price matched it no questions asked, it saved me like 400.00 bucks make sure to call them, not email.

I had great service and got exactly what I ordered thru John at Eurocom.

I wanted to spend my cash in Canada, if that cost a bit more, so be it...no regrets

@Crylo, when did you get the price-match? Because right now, I haven't heard of anyone being able to get the same price at eurocom. And yes I was very polite with John Shore and I talked to him through NBR, and I got about 200-300 off. I was pretty disapointed with their service, giving the fact they don't answer half the time if you email them.

Last october was my price match, and yes aside from them price matching Xotic, they have the worst customer service ever.

Eurocom, like Sager, is a importer OEM.... so they get massive orders to their customers and resellers.

And like Sager, Eurocom has the problem with customer service flow since they cannot handle it all themselves.... which is why resellers are usually the ones handling that front.

But Eurocom does not have official resellers for their systems... just vendors that re-brand them.... as compared to Sager having an amazing squad of resellers to back up their customer service.

... make no mistake, Eurocom is still large and still has good hardware/RMA support (not so much for normal customer service) when it comes down to it.

i guess that eliminates my idea from ordering from eurocom... xoiticpc seems to have newer parts than eurocom anyways seeing as how i can't configure the m860tu with a gtx 260m

Are they really that bad? My system configured is $4438.00 with taxes and I'm getting it from them for $3517.00 with free delivery.

$262.00 cheaper than the USA price after taxes, shipping and brokerage fees.
