Has anyone used a Clevo M540N or Sager 5460?

Different names, same computer. I'm interested in buying one and am having an extremely hard time finding reviews or opinions on these particular models. I have an idea of the company's overall quality reputation, but I want to know if anyone has any particular praise/complaints regarding this model.

i had a chance to use it when I was working with a computer store that ordered Taiwan custom notebooks from Compal, MSI, Asus, Uniwill, Mitac, and Clevo.

The Clevo M540N(V) is a pretty well-built and as solid as the other Clevo notebooks. It actually reminded me of a cross between a small MSI notebook with a Asus chassis.

I would recommend it to a consumer looking for a solid non-gaming notebook. Its definitely one of the best 14" notebooks that I had a chance to try out in its class.

Should I be concerned that so few people seem to own this computer? It looks like a great machine, so I'm wondering why it's not more popular. It did cross my mind that people who buy custom built Clevos might be more likely to buy computers that are larger and more suitable for gaming, because I have no difficulty finding reviews of those models.

Yeah, Clevo has made more of a reputation to make the latest and greatest. But recently, they have been going for a different consumer market... casual users that are looking for power/portability/batterylife... so that released the Clevo M62 (Sager 6260). Hopefully their next year will come out with more models for the casual to average gamer.

The Clevo 14" looks great and seems solid. The main reason why is did not get recognized is:
    - only a few Clevo resellers sell it
    - its getting over-shadowed by its larger gaming brothers.
    - the typical notebook buyer dont even consider Clevo because they probably ever heard of them... or only thought that they sell gaming notebooks.

If your the price is good and the specs are good, then I would recommend the Clevo over other non-gaming 14" notebooks.

I have another thread here explaining my impressions-

    http://www.notebookforums.com/thread184986.html

Post there if you have any other Q.
This was cheaper thru PCT than the same config on either the HP DV2000t or Dell 1405.

PCT currently has a $30 rebate on 5460V.
