Hi,
I've been looking to buy a Clevo in the UK, was going to go with MYSN until I came across this! http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=703674
That's terrible business practise! Has anyone got money back or anything? Those poor people lost money and this guys just making money again! Is the German MYSN aware someone's using their brand like this. There's no way I'll purchase with MYSN uk now, I'll be going with PCs or maybe PWN.

firstly get your fekin facts straight before you start mouthing off on a world wide open forum.
mysn germany is the same company as mysn uk and eu
dont you think mysn germany would have done their homework and looked into all the things that happened in the past.
germany expanded and as a company if they decided to take on ex kobalt staff then they would have known for sure that everything was safe.
when you buy a laptop from the uk office it is still built in germany so all you are doing with your above post is hurting a innocent german company that has expanded to the uk. -
-
Oh come on MrDJ, it wasn't innocent admin staff or builders. It was the director who lost peoples money. If what you say is true about Mysn not even being a UK builder all Kobalts old staff will be unemployed too, so the director who lost peoples money benefits and everyone else loses!
Mysn Germany supporting this is not a good thing! They may not have stolen from these people but they shouldn't support this guy!
How can you support and promote a company with this attitude? They must have given you a hell of a discount!

im a customer plain and simple. i paid £2006 which was with a 5% discount that EVERYONE got that had signed up to mysn newsletter. i got nothing more.
-
Personally I wouldn't touch the UK arm with a barge pole.
-
How would you feel if you paid £2006 and got nothing, not even an apology! Just like the guy in that other thread and possibly hundreds more. Morally mysn uk should look after all these people. Legally I suppose there's nothing they have to do. I'm just glad someone figured out what they were up too, its stopped me going through that and I signed up here in the hope to alert others.

I cant complain about mysn germany either, great customer service and when I wasnt happy with my 7970m I got a full refund within 2 weeks.
go for PCs in the UK, cheapest I could find -
MySN Germany is a very professional reseller, they even repaired/upgraded my X7200, which I bought off a different incompetent reseller.
-
MySN Germany is a very trustworthy, helpfull and honest Company.
If you don't like to buy from their UK branch I can, also from my own good experience, recommend PWNPCS over in London. :hi2: -
My latest lappy is from MySN also. I like their customer support and prompt delivery.
Also, they offer payment upon delivery, which I love.
Laptop is running cool and silent and Im also using Prema's nice BIOS mod. (thanks prema!) -
My latest purchase was from MySN UK.
I paid in cash with no doubt what so ever.
Laptop put together and posted from Germany. Prompt delivery, well packed and excellent customer service so far (had a slight discussion regarding enduro).
No complaints here. I don't see any need to slate this company? -
MySn as a company itself is surely beyond criticism based on various user experience reports on this forum and elsewhere and also the general reputation (it basically is the leading custom-builder of highend gaming laptops here in germany. there are of course others, but they dont come close in reputation and operation size).
i guess its just unfortunate that they decided to include former employees of kobalt computers into their operations, but in the end, all the important stuff is still going down in germany at the main office (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.) so a repeat performance of kobalts unfortunate events in the past is highly unlikely at best if u ask me

MySN germany has nothing to do with the UK as far as I understand.
-
how the hell do you think they build the uk ordered laptops then in germany.
think you need to get a new informer jaug -
I don't know about this MySN company, though I do remember Kobalt being god awful scam artists. However the point that MANY in this thread are making is that they are safe to purchase from, and do not adopt the business practices of Kobalt computers even if they have some of its former staff. Your ENTIRE arguement is based on the idea that "what IF you got nothing for your money?" which to the knowledge of this forum has not happened to any of their customers. You are looking for more people to scapegoat for Kobalt's scams and according to the people here today, you're using a perfectly fine, respectable company as a bashing tool, and you're improperly hurting their name while you are at it.
Can this thread please be locked? If he wants to know where he should buy a laptop from in the UK, he can easily make another thread asking which reseller should he go with. -
This thread is really dumb... Why is everyone talking about MySN Germany when the OP was asking if anyone got compensated from the MySN/Kobalt disaster and if MySN German is aware that some despicable jerk is running their UK branch. I think that's a great question and until MySN Germany does something about, I'd suggest UK residents to boycott MySN UK.
-
Absolutely. It's that scam artist Kobalt director that will benefit financially from UK sales and he doesn't deserve a dime from anyone.
-
as mentioned before, the mysn uk branch is legitimate and works in full knowledge of the german main hub, otherwise why would they fulfill the uk order and assemble the respective machine?
point being: former kobalt staff working for mysn - correct / uk mysn branch fake & a new scam - wrong!
now, if the former kobalt director actually deserves to be making money again, thats an entirely different question and has absolutely nothing to do with the reputation and operation of mysn in general.

That's not what he was asking... I don't get why you're hung up on MySN Germany. The OP doesn't care about MySN Germany, he's talking about the UK branch. Whether MySN Germany fulfills the order or not doesn't matter. The MySN UK branch is run by the jerk from Kobalt, plain and simple. And MySN Germany if they want to purchase Kobalt, then it's now their responsibility IMO to fix this wrong. MySN should have just opened up another shop in the UK rather than taking over Kobalt. Most companies, when you take over a company, you also inherit their debt. No matter how I look at it, MySN UK is snafu, and should be boycotted.
- It's the only way I see how a moron from Kobalt can be running MySN UK, he wasn't hired, he was part of the package deal in MySN take over of Kobalt. Unless someone can prove me wrong.
I think the jerk from Kobalt should compensate, from whatever earnings he's made working for MySN UK. He should forfeit his salary until he gives back the money he stole. -
This has nothing to do with mySN, they are not legal enforcers to punish the alleged wrongdoers. They opened the branch in UK and did it legitimately. Boycotting them will not punish the wrongdoers anyway.
I don't think they inherited the debt of Kobalt, because they didn't take over Kobalt. Even if they did hire some of Kobalt staff (even major exec staff), this does not make mySN inherit legal responsibility for wrongdoings of said staff. -

A couple of threads on this forum have come to our attention which we would like to address. These threads in question have suggested a link between Kobalt Computers Ltd and mySN UK Limited. We have attempted to contact notebookreview via email and phone on numerous occasions since Saturday, March 2nd in order to discuss these threads, however we have not yet received any response from notebookreview in any capacity.
This has left us in a position where our only course of action is to post directly on this forum - in order to clarify the situation and also to correct some inaccurate statements.
Firstly we can confirm that Kobalt Computers Ltd has no relationship with tronic5 | Schenker Notebooks GmbH / mysn.de whatsoever. Kobalt Computers Ltd was closed in 2012, this information is publically available through government websites as well as other sites which link to the UK company database, such as UK Limited Company Formation Searches & Business Information | Jordans which has been linked to in several posts on this forum. To clarify this further; tronic5 | Schenker Notebooks GmbH, the parent company of mysn.de and mysn.co.uk did not buy or take over the company and there has never been and there is not now any financial relationship or responsibility, between the two companies.
mySN UK Ltd started to trade in July 2012 when mySN UK | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks was launched. We then further expanded our online presence with the launch of mySN EU | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks in December 2012. The Directors of mySN UK Ltd were appointed after we carried out all appropriate due diligence checks, as you would expect a company of tronic5 | Schenker Notebooks GmbH reputation to carry out. We would not have chosen to open our UK office in the way we did, had we had any reservations whatsoever regarding the competence of any of our UK staff - Directors or otherwise.
The reason we have chosen to respond to these threads is because we consider some of the accusations made about mysn.de and mysn.co.uk border on libel. Although there are slightly different technical definitions throughout the world, libel is generally defined as a written statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give a business, group or individual a negative or inferior image. There are unfortunately clear examples of this as detailed below.

2/ http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...balts-scam-has-anyone-been-compensated-3.html
It is extremely important to note that what jaug1337 reports as "Kobalt Computers/Systems" are in fact two completely different companies. From the information posted in the threads he has linked to, he is actually referring to Kobalt Computers Ltd - this company ceased trading in September 2011 and according to Companies House (the official UK Company register) it was dissolved in September 2012. This dissolved condition defines it as having no legal status.
Kobalt Computers Ltd as a company has no relationship with mySN UK Ltd as has been suggested on the detailed forum threads; not legally, not in liability or in any other aspect.
For the record we would state that Tronic 5 Schenker Notebooks has an excellent reputation in the European market. The company has been operating in the Clevo notebook market for almost 20 years and is both the longest operating and largest Clevo based reseller in Europe. Before expanding into the UK with the launch of mySN UK Ltd ( mySN UK | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks) and then the subsequent of mySN EU | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks , an in depth assessment of operational possibilities and personnel was carried out. The staff at mySN UK Ltd have over eight years of technical management experience with performance orientated Personal Computers and Notebooks.
While we completely understand that freedom of speech is a fundamental prerequisite for a popular internet discussion forum, the posting of libelous statements is something we take seriously. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and are confident that our current and future customers will make an educated, informed opinion of our business based on our outstanding service reputation and class-leading products. Finally, wed like to thank those involved in the threads who have supported us or at least considered the situation objectively. Were looking forward to our future and are positive these issues will be resolved without any further action.
Have you been compensated by Kobalt Computers?
