So my Sager NP8130 had some problems and I wanted to reformat it. So I put in a Midern Recovery DVD-ROM for Windows 7 Premium and installed a new 64-bit Windows 7. However when I installed it, all my drivers disappeared. Now when I turn on my laptop, it keeps going to startup repair. I was wondering how do I fix this and get my Sager back to when I 1st got it out of box? Thank you for all help.

I'm not sure what a Midern Recovery DVD-ROM is, but if you did a clean install you need to either use the Windows disk that shipped with your laptop or one that you already had. A fresh install of Windows will not have many of the drivers by default, so you have to use the driver disk that came with the machine or the thread below to download and install all of them:

You should be able to do a clean install with that disc, and then download the drivers via driver disc, sagernotebook website, or the clevo driver thread that Anthony pointed out.

Is there anyway to bypass the startup repair? It keeps popping up now and I can't get passed it.

It should give you the option to go to startup repair or boot normally. If not, then something was completely broken on the install and you'll need to either let startup repair finish or just start from scratch again.

I chose to start over again.

Also I got a blue screen earlier, and just now again saying something is wrong and that my laptop has to shut down? It doesn't seem like a virus/malware but something is wrong with my laptop? It said if this was my 1st time experiencing this something something, unfortunately I didn't have time to read it all. Any clue to what it is?

Thanks for all the help so far!

You mentioned in your first post that the reason you reformatted in the first place was your computer was having problems. Can you describe these problems. If it was a hardware problem reformatting wont help.
The bluescreen during format makes me think hardware issue.

It sounds like you have a hardware issue or a bad install disk. What media are you using for your install? Have you been able to read what the stop error is on the bluescreen? Bad memory or HDD are likely culprits for bluescreens.

I only reformatted due to having a malware I couldn't get to remove after searching up some tutorials.

I reformatted using the CD given to me.

Or I assume it was a reformatting CD, it was a recovery DVD. But it just cleaned out my drives, however I still have old programs still installed on my laptop? My desktop was clean, but when I go into my computer and my C: drive, there's stuff from before still there.

If it was a recovery disk you were using and you are still having issues, you may want to try for a clean install from scratch. http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os-software/604187-legal-download-digitalriver-windows-7-sp1-13-languages-6.html our very own forums have legal copies of windows you can download, just choose your version and language and download the ISO image. If you need ISO burning software I would personally recommend CDBurnerXP - Download.com it's free and easy to use. Just make sure when you burn the CD to set your burn speed to the lowest possible (8x or less) and then use that disk. You will still need to get the drivers Software Upgrade if you need to download the drivers. Hope this helps.
