I am quite seriously considering purchasing a Sager NP2096 but have been noticing a number of heat issues with other Sager models. I just wanted to be sure that heat has not been a running problem for the 2096, any input would be appreciated.

    Here are my intended specs:

    - ~Intel® P8600 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.40GHz w/3MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt
    - nVidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB PCI-Express DDR2 DX10
    - ~ 4,096MB DDR2 800 (2 SODIMMS) Dual Channel Memory (Requires Vista 64-Bit to utilize Full 4GB)
    - ~Combo 8x8x6x4x Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW 5x DVD-RAM 24x CD-R/RW Drive w/Softwares
    - ~ 320GB 7200RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache)
    - Internal 3-in-1 Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS)
    - Internal Bluetooth + EDR
    - Built-in Intel® PRO/Wireless 5100 802.11 a/g/n

I am not too sure about that model, but sager has always had computers that run very cool.

The only problem with heat seems to be with the HDD, but only in rare cases it seems.

I really don't see any reason that set up should overheat. Just take care of it keep the Intake vents clean and the air out vents clean, And have someone (or do it yourself) take apart and give it a good cleaning once a year and it will last for years to come. But, If you dont know much about the insides get someone else to do it...Can get a little confusing :)
