Hello all!
I purchased a Clevo/Evoc P775 TM1 with GTX 1080 from HID evolution 2 years and 1 month ago. I have had a few problems including requiring a new processor among other things and my computer has already been RMA'ed multiple times. My screen now gets a pink pixelation and my computer freezes any time I try to use any sort of game/graphical intensity. I reverted to the original drivers after using the most updated NVIDIA drivers. I still have had the problem. After discussing it with some experts, they believe my GPU needs to be replaced.
Does anyone have any other fixes or recommendations? I don't want to have to spend $1200-1500 for a new clevo GTX 1080 mxm on a computer that is literally one month out of warranty if there is a better option.
Thanks for the help! i'll be happy to provide more information if needed.

Can you post picture/screenshot of the issue? And how are the temperatures on the components?

You can always sacrifice some GPU power and save both money and noise levels if you step down to a new/used 1060/1070 or wait for a decently priced 1080 to pop up used and still game.Epcot Tiger likes this. -

You might be able to run the 1080 downclocked and find that it works and is stable. If you have a way to limit the vram and core that would be my first test. You might end up at 1070 or 1060 levels without spending any money for the time being.

I appreciate the advice. I am not sure how to do that or if I am able but can definitely can look into it

This looks like vram artifacts, try lowering the memory speed by -500Mhz and see if it persists. You can do this by MSI Afterburner. How old are the thermalpads on the card? It might be worth a shot replacing them and see whether it's a heat issue.moral hazard likes this.

Just checking they are contacting properly would be a good first step.

I have tried down clocking in MSI afterburner. I have learned something new. When my computer is not plugged in, it does not freeze or shut down. I was able to load a graphically intensive game. As soon as I plug in my computer, my screen turns that pink pixelated color and freezes.

That will be my next step I believe. I will need to look at everything and make sure it is in place and in contact

It should leave a slight impression in the pad at least.
