    Hi Guys,

I've been donated a 17" monster which refuses to book (black screen, no VGA Output, fans spin up).

I'm guessing it's a dead mobo, but i'm having problems identifying it to source a spare.

Markings on the lid are "Style-Note"

    Underneath is:

    Clevo M67SU

Not much is coming up on this forum.

Any ideas whare I can get a new motherboard?

Searching for Clevo M67SU brings up a bunch of Romanian/Hungarian links.

If the computer is out of warranty and you plan on replacing the motherboard your self, might as well take it apart now and see what markings the motherboard has on it to idenity it.

I'll keep an eye on 'bay for a suitable donor.

    The motherboard is defiinately fried.

There's a large section where some water damage (possibly coke or something sticky) has got in and created havoc. - seems to only affect the area below the RAM, nothing on Keyboard etc

Right?? They totally make you feel bloated. :p

But seriously, the acid in it is REALLY bad for PCBs. Good luck, BlkKnight! eBay is indeed a good place to try.
