    Greetings all,

DVD drive in my PCMW fusion, purchased Jun 08, went kaput (as in came completely off the rails). I found a manual for the m86tu, however it doesn't state what size or brands of optical drives will fit. It does specify SATA and that it can take up to Blu-Ray.

Looking for some intel on what size optical drive I can get to replace the broken one.

Thanks in advance for any assistance....bill

yes, its using a SATA interface for the optical drives.

so any standard SATA notebook optical drives found on e-tailers like Newegg, Mwave, Zipzoomfly, etc... should work in there.

like this Sony NEC Optiarc one:

That should still be under warranty, shouldn't it? Or is the standard, no-frills warranty limited to 90 days?
