in the first time, hello from Spain and thanks for the help ( and apologize for my english)....

One year ago I bought a laptop clevo p180hm...by one reseller in spain called mountain with...

    Core i7 2670-QMobile, 2.2/3.1 GHz

    2 Gráficas GTX560 Mobile (sli)

    3 SODIMM DDR3 4GB 1333 Mhz

    INTEL SSD 320 Series 120GB 9.5MM 2.5IN G3-MLC 25NM sata II

    raid 0 hdd 500GB 7200rpm 2,5"

    ...etc

my chipset is 6 generation( hm67)

    Here come the questions:

1-. i called the reseller to change the ssd by one of more size and sata 3, and he told me that my laptop only have sata II...it´s true ???

i can´t open my laptop because i lost the warranty.

2 .if it were true that I haven't got sata 3, could make a raid 0 with 2 Samsung SSD 840 (256GB) and keep the trim ... because intel has no support for Intel ® 6 Series Chipset to sata raid and if i don´t have trim , the ssd degradation, would lower the speed....

    thaks....and sorry for my english

Download and install HWinfo. That will tell you what SATA revision your controller is for your hard disk (use the detailed view instead of the summary report in HWinfo).

RAID 0 would be unnecessary in my opinion for dual SSDs, but typically you cannot incorporate TRIM with a RAID array on a 6-series chipset. However, while Intel has not confirmed support for 6-series chipsets, TRIM on RAID 0 volumes as been shown to work on Z68 and P67 chipsets with a modified RAID option ROM ( source).

Perhaps there is one for your board as well? ;)

    P.S. Your English is fine!
