    do you just want the screen or will you be buying the laptop as well.

    try either mySN UK or Germany or even any other reseller who should be able to source one for you on special order as no one keeps 900 screens in stock as far as i know..

    The EMs use the standard LCD connectors, so you should be able to run a search for pretty much any 15.6" 900p screen.

    Should be simple on eBay.
    Significantly higher framerates, without the quality degradation of running below native resolution, for one.

    I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder, but quality degradation from running an LCD at non-native resolution is not nearly the issue it used to be.

    Never that easy. Size, thickness, eDP or LVDS, attachment brackets locations (side flange or side mount)?

    That's the exact reason;
    I ordered the laptop (should get it in 10 days) with full hd as it was the only option; but I prefer a lower resolution in a 15'6'' and which will also stretch the lifespan of my 680m (CPU is 3820 i 7);

    WIll check on ebay and will ask clevo reseller here in europe;

    THanks

    Errr you are better off with 1080p on the 680m. Turn off aa as time goes on or clock it a bit.

    With 256-bit bandwidth, 4GB vRAM, and the clocks this thing can churn out, the difference between 1600x900 and 1920x1080 will be marginal for games requiring more horsepower. You might gain 10% FPS improvement so going from 30 to 33 fps won't be that advatageous.

    I can understand why the OP wants a HD+ screen - in fact I would be happier if there had been a 1600x900 option when I ordered my P170EM. Even on the 17 inch screen letters look too small most of the time. (Please don't even try mentioning changing font sizes in windows or using 120 dpi or zooming web pages - I heard those already - I use 120dpi but that doesn't solve everything and I don't want to tweak all these bits all the time, I just want my pc to work as I want it out of the box)

    Also, full hd (1920*1080) has 1.44 times the pixel count of hd+ (1600*900) so I find that mere 3 fps difference somewhat unbelievable although that's just an assumption, I haven't tried it. I also have a 680m but I would gladly swap the screen for a hd+ if that means a year or two plus of valuable lifetime.

    You're looking at likely around 15% improvement, depending on game. 15% isn't anything to scoff at but you're talking 30 fps vs 35 fps. Dropping detail at 1080p slightly will easily gain those extra FPS.

    Just for giggles I ran Dirt 2 Demo since it seems to scale reasonably well with resolution. 84.5FPS @ 1080p / 100.5FPS @ 900p That's ~ 19% performance difference. So even if you're borderline playable at 30fps that's still about 35fps running at 900p.

    In any case it is surprising that there isn't a 1600x900 panel available for 15", although they do offer one in 17".

    The W370ET is supposed to offer a 1600x900 an 1920x1080, but it only comes with a GTX 660m.

    I don't know if italian.madness found HD+ screen replacement, but I'm planing to buy a CLEVO P150EM soon and I'd prefer HD+ (1600x900) screen too. UK resellers do not seem to offer such a configuration. As I am Polish I checked Polish one - Bluemobility and thay do it: BLUEMOBILITY . Easy to guess: Ekran 15,6" GAMING HD+ 1600 x 900 LED, Matowy, P150EM (ekran=screen, matowy=matte). So it seems possible to have P150EM with HD+. I mailed them - it's the same screen as in W350ETQ (so it could be the same case with P170EM). They're going to send me the specs of the screen soon and I'll post them here as well (there are a few models supposedly anyway). I hope they fully compatible with P150EM. For example mySN.de have the screen, but I don't know if they sell it separately.
