    Help made a CC mistake

    Credit card mistake.
    ok i just bought a laptop from xoticpc.com and at check out i put in the wrong CVV number on my credit card. So I went back to the site to make sure everything is ok and when i log in it says i dont have anything under my acct. I also followed the history that xoticpc.com emailed me and it doesnt show my purchase. what should i do?
    Assume the deal just got deleted and reorder with the correct CVV code?
    or wait and see what happens?

    better to wait.. in case there's a glitch in the system, and you wouldn't want 2 of the same orders..

    drop them a email now, and see if they reply over the weekend.. if not, call on monday.

    Well then just make a few commands more then you will be sure you get at least one :D. If the details pu there were wrong it will not charge you credit card so probably you qwould be contact by the seller. Anyway there is no gain to order it today or monday if they do not work on weekend. So just wait until monday your laptop will eventually arrive to you the same. It is also an expensive device so better to have pacience than be sorry.

    yeah your both right thz. i did email them asking what i should do and i will be sure the gice them a call monday.

    Call your credit card company and they will tell you if there's a pending transaction or not. There likely isn't, so go and reorder after confirming. At any rate, nothing will happen with your Xotic order until Monday 9am, whichever option you choose.

    (By the way: the credit card verification system is automatic at most places, and the info can't be seen by the vendor, so mistakes or incorrect matching info get auto-declined. I.e. You *wouldn't* be contacted by the seller for a failed transaction as it's automated at this point (but you *would* be contacted if the shipping address is different than delivery or other issues)).

    Why don't you email or send a private message to Justin@Xoticpc? The business itself may not be open until Monday, but Justin does check his email and his private messages on the weekends.

    Also, even if the verification system is automatic, I would not reorder until I knew for certain that the first transaction had not been processed; otherwise, you might end up having to deal with 2 purchases instead of 1, and that might cause you to go over your credit card limit, thereby boosting your interest rate up to the over-the-limit rate (usu. in excess of 20%).

    Further, if you just made the transaction before you posted your problem, then you most likely put the transaction through after hours for Xoticpc anyways, and so there's a good chance that they haven't yet tried to process the first transaction with the bum CVV number, so if you email/pm Justin now you may get it all straightened up without ever having a transaction-declined hit on your credit-card account.
