So maybe I am just an idiot and can't read/do math very well. I bought a laptop bag and my laptop didn't fit. I really did look at the numbers and it should fit. But here I am, laptop, no bag. So help me find a bag that doesn't suck. Here is the criteria:
- The laptop will fit in the damned thing (STM Brink is too small)
- No leather. This is not the 80's and i am not Bon Jovi.
- No Backpacks. I don't like backpacks.
- No briefcases. I don't like those either.
- No crazy rolley wheels. I'm not 60 and my back doesn't hurt yet.
- The smaller the better, i don't need a ton of space to store all kinds of crap, just a decent sized pouch will be enough. (need to store some random cables, a card reader, some cd's and maybe battery + ac adapter)
- It can't be ugly. The STM Brink looked good online, but was sorta ugly when it arrived.

So who has some suggestions?!

So basically you want a messenger style bag?
Have a look at the Links to Notebook Bag Makers, Dealers and Reviews topic if you haven't already. You can look around there and might find something you like.
I don't like or use messenger bags so I can't really recommend anything. -
If you like briefcases, for a more professional look, you could try this:

I have one for my 9261 and it fits just fine.
Good Luck! -

That's some of the best quality money can buy. -
+1 to the waterfield suggestion... I am addicted to their stuff.
BUT, check www.booqbags.com. They are top notch. Albeit pricey (that wasn't a criteria lol)
And of you need it cheap, the targus citygear Los Angeles was simply great. But I sold it to go backpack with my 5760. 15 lbs was too much for only one shoulder (and I am the 6' - 225lbs type of guy). The backpack feels so much better now (take a look at the BOA XXL - it might change what you think of backpacks because I was just like you when I bought my lappy -hated the backpack).
As for booq, check out the Folee and Folee 2 and you might be interested in the boa slimcase (I would damn be!). -
i dig the booq PowerSleeve.

i think i will order later today. i need to call them first and check on their return policy, but the dimensions seem like they will fit. -
Your link works no more (product not sold anymore?), but make sure it's a powersleeve XXL. I have it and it fits the 5760 nicely. All in all, I think the 5790 is thicker in the front, but the same in the back or a little thicker. Anyway this will be a tight fit.
I have a powersleeve at home in a brand new state. When I bought my bags I bought a system and included this sleeve. But I never used it because I like my backpack more.
If you're interested on paying a little less, I can sell it to you. I am tired of it no being used.
Oh, another comment: Don't plan on putting many accessories in the sleeve. The front compartment is very slim. If you want pics, I'll send them to you. PM me if you're interested. -

Yeah I really believe they were replaced by the BOA slimcase
. A shame because the sleeve was nice, though the slimcase looks quite nice also!
