Just as it says, I went with the Sager (no brainer).
I need a desk sitting cooler AND a cooler made for your lap (When "Attack of the show" is on) :D

I need the desk cooler to be all metal - for better heat dissipation.
The on lap one just needs to deliver some more air to the notebook while on my lap, surfing the web, no hardcore game playing.

    Any recommendations would be great.
Internet has reviews but everything is rated around the same, need some real life use with the beast reviews.

    Psycroptik.

the best notebook cooler on the market for 17" systems is:
    - Zalman ZM-NC2000

its NC1000 brother would also work fine as well.

How much of a difference will there be between the 1k and the 2k do you think? I know with the 1k a 17" will hang over slightly. My main concern isn't cost but being able to tote the thing around in the same bah I put the laptop in, so a 20" one might make it hard.

The 9262 runs pretty cool itself. For normal ops you wont need a cooler.

true, but using a cooler helps by knowing that the surface you are place the notebook on is clean and cool.

But always remember to clean out the fans and vents every two to three months... which would really increase the longevity of a gaming notebook.

I was pretty set on the Zalman for home.
Is there one out there anyone recommends for travel?
I need something that can fit in a backpack (MobileEdge SecurePack).

    Zalman ZM-NC2000

Why is it so expencive? How many fans it got?

I have checked prices on ebay and this one would be by far
    most expencive for around $60-$70+
    Most other were around $4-$15+

read the review for it online, it quite top-notch.

    For the price:
    - its new (you pay for new)
    - its build quality (a thick aluminum stage)
    - its technology (it cools the entire stage, as compared to cheaper coolers)

But you should look towards the ZM-NC1000 for better pricing... its the same but the stage is slightly not as wide... which many own with that notebook.

an official review for the Zalman would be cool. :)

you can probably get paid by this site if you do a review... contact Chaz or Andrew about review details.

many people would benefit from the review of this amazing product. :D
