i bought a (centrino notebook, model M40AE by CLEVO CO.) 3 months ago. when i bouth it, it used to give me problem like when i was turning on the notebook. it was turning on but there was no display on screen. just blank dark screen. after pressing few times the button like turning on and off. then it was giving display. by the time it got more worse and worse. finally it was turning on and no display just dark screen. i toke it to a technician and he told me that, i need to change the whole VGA Kit of the note book. because there is somthing wrong with it. he said" i coudn;t find the VGA kit for your notebook model(centrino notebook, model M40AE by CLEVO CO.). so i am so confused and without a laptop. can anyone tell me any other brand, which kits working with mine. so that i will find a cheap used one to buy. i am really confused. how to find it. help me with this guys. i will be thankful to you.

You could start with the user manual, which can be downloaded from Clevo's website here - or directly from this link or this link (comes as a zipped pdf).

Do you know if your system has the ATi M26(X700) PCI-e 16x card or the Intel GMA 900? If it's the second one, then you may have to replace the entire motherboard because, if I recall correctly, I believe that the GMA 900 is an integrated graphics chip that cannot be separately replaced.

it could be a lot of things though. something as simple as a loose lcd cable. i would for sure check the lcd cable first then it could be the inverter, the gpu itself the mobo etc..... and yes if its the gma chipset its integrated

actually i am not that good in computers but when i turn it on, the laptop is turning on but no display on screen.

when the charge in batter become very low and i turn it on. then i see a very dim light appear on screen and nothing else. i don't know if the problem is with VGA kit or whatever. i just know that, the VGA kit of my laptop can be separated from my laptop's mother board. its Redeaon X700, 128 MB graphic.

    help me pls.

If it's only 3 months, isn't it still under warranty? Try asking from where you bought the laptop from. Since they sell it, surely they have the spare parts and stuff for it
