    hi everyone

    i have just purchased a clevo w350st off of ebay it had windows 8 on it but i dont like it so i installed windows 7 64 bit

    and all went well apart from when i went looking for drivers the lan driver that i downloaded from the clevo website wont install it gives a filefind error

    Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode enabled Please Plug the Cable

    any one have any ideas

    Are you sure you downloaded the win7 files?

    i saw in the bios thread that sometimes the bios version related to the windows version.

    they only give the option for windows 8 any one know were i can get the windows 7 ones

    heres some windows 7 drivers for your model but not sure if they are all there Software Upgrade

    i think it's better to start a clean install again if you installed the wrong drivers on the beginning.

    If your machine doesn't officially support Win 7, it's likely that no win 7 drivers may properly exist. When people purchased the D900F back in 2009, a fair number attempted to force Windows XP to install and run, despite a complete lack of drivers & bios support. They eventually got it to work, but it wasn't perfect. So you may need to reinstall windows 8 later. If you dislike 8, try using StartIsBack or Stardock Start8. Both programs are fairly good at restoring a proper (customizable) start menu and such. You don't need to go to 8.1 either for boot to desktop functionality with Start8, I am not sure about StartIsBack.

    Have you tried downloading and installing drivers directly from Realtek?
