Why do you need the BIOS/Firmware?

If all you are doing is reinstalling the OS then just download the drivers. You should not need the bios to reinstall you OS. In fact it is rare that you would need the bios for anything.

If you want an updated BIOS, all you have to do is call tech support or email it to them. It helps prevent problems I think - BIOS upgrades are easier to screw up than a software update (drivers) so Sager is playing it safe, only giving out the BIOS to the people who want it.

At any rate, as noted you do not need the BIOS update to install Windows. All you need is the Windows disc and the drivers, which you can download from Sager.
