Would appreciate some help on deciding on a Sager or Clevo Laptop.

My budget will be around $1300-$1400 for a laptop, before tax, warranty etc. Laptop will be used for work/personal.
Work use will be in a development environment, some IDE's, GUI's and running some programs not particularly intensive. Would prefer a SSD but not essential. Right now have 8Gb of RAM and is more than sufficient.

Personal use is surfing, occasional playing with VM's, light weight just trying out new things, streaming (e.g. Netflix)
Price will also be exclusive of an operating system. Still not decided on Windows or Linux.

Ideally looking for a 15 to 17 inch screen. I do game, but nothing heavy. But it would be nice to have some flexibility in there...

The most popular models in 15.6" are the NP8235 and NP8265. They are very similar but the NP8265 does include a backlit keyboard if you're looking for that.
Depending on where you purchase it from some do or dont include the OS preinstalled.
They also have mSATA slots which you can use for the SSD and they also have room for a HDD for storage as well.

Stimmed marines do the same damage as tripple-stimmed marines.
Seriously Meaker, you sound like a wise old man :D
