My friend just bought a new Sager NP6165 with an I7 3610QM, and an nvidia 650M GT.
When we installed Skyrim we noticed a small red spot on the screen while we were running the game, but strangely we couldn't see it on the normal windows wallpaper, and it doesn't always appear when the screen in totally black, but definitely when we play Skyrim.
What that could be? Is that what they called a dead pixel? Should we call Sager for a screen replacement?

What you have is called a semi dead pixel where the green and blue sub pixels are dead leaving only the red subpixel.
Try this it worked for me, even on my droid cell phone, there was a blob of dead pixels and running the pixel fixer on the screen for a day fixed it perfectly bakc to normal. 5 Ways To Fix A Stuck Pixel On Your Screen
Personally I would run a screen fixer on the area of the dead pixel for a day, and then if that doesnt work try massaging the screen and then if that doesnt work ask sager what they can do, and if that doesnt work do the no questions asked return and reorder the laptop. -
Thanks for the quick reply, +1 rep.
I will try the link you provide me and I'll report back in case.
Do you think Sager will be able to replace my screen instead order a new laptop?
Because we ordered it from the sager website, but we live in EU. -
I believe the standard pixel warranty is something outlandish like 7 or something. It depends on the screen manufacturer. I ordered a perfect pixel warranty from my reseller, don't want to get an expensive laptop with dead pixels on it.

I had a dead pixel too and it seems a lot of people are getting them on this model.....Sager needs a recall on the screens.................. is it too late to purchase the dead pixel warranty from XoticPC after I've received the laptop and is still within the 30 days? I would be using it just before the 60 days end.
