Removing the screw was easy, but this thing does NOT want to come out.
20min later after trying both pushing and pulling, I scuffed up and bent the frame, scratched the mounting bracket, and broke off the faceplate, and it hasn't budged an inch.
What am I missing here!? Does anyone have any tips?

Got it out. You cannot be "careful" you literally have to use breaking force. If your hand slips, there go your heatsinks, and expect to scratch the caddy and warp the internal frame.

I usually eject the tray first, then pull it out by the tray.
That's worked well on the 3 M860TU/M860ETU's I've handled.
