Hello all please could anyone let me know how to reset the BIOS on my P751TM1

    I have tried FN+D

    Remove CMOS battery

    Remove ram

    Remove battery

30 seconds power button trick .

One thing I can say is that before when overclocking the RAM the CPU 8700K never reset it's overclock of 4.8Ghz the ram would just go back to default so the BIOS never truly reset I think ? As the CPU Overclock held even after CMOS battery removed and power battery and power supply.

    What am I missing ?

I did try swapping out the CPU and GPU for my i3 and gtx 1060
    No luck

    I'm stumped

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a hardware thing rather than a BIOS thing, what happened?

Is there a jumper on the p750tm motherboard for resetting the bios at all ?

Not that I am aware of but removing the bios battery would reset the parts that are stored in active memory.

Is it a modified BIOS you are running or stock?

Did you manage to reset the bios? If it still boots to a blank screen does it ramp up the fans speed and turn off after 1-2mins?

Hey no I did not manage to fix it I did leave it over night with no CMOS battery and no power from adapter or battery. The fans do not ramp up they come on lightly

Have you tried booting it with one stick of ram in various slots? As weird as it sounds, sometimes reseating the CPU might help.

I did try just one stick in all 4 slots yes and different brands of RAM

THIS SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY but I think PC specialist do something to the Bios so even if you use FN+D it dose not recover .. or there are caps holding charge but the over night trick should have fixed this .
On a side not I have in my position roughly 40 Clevo laptops and I HAVE NEVER seen this before .

I'd almost go as far as saying if I ever pick up a pc specialist system again I will instantly flash to a custom BIOS

IMG_20200615_135601.jpg some how they stop this from being activated I think ... All my Clevo systems can do this but that one it was not possible.

FN+D does basically what removing the BIOS battery does.

In that systems case absolutely NOTHING meeeh well I returned it cos it must have had a issue if FN + D and removing the CMOS battery dose not work

Sounds like a plan after everything you tested.
