My son was playing around with my p150hm, when i noticed that the AMD lock is unlocked. The frequencies are 715 and 900. So is there anything i should be worried about? Can I relock it again?

No worries. Software OC will not seriously mess up your system as it will automatically be overwritten upon reboot.

You can set it to factory default clocks in CCC, but as for the AMD lock, if your son knows how to unlock it there is really no point in locking it again. ;)

Tell him there is no need to overclock a 6990. Its a great card the way it is.

You could use MSI afterburner (freeware) to monitor the GPU. It will give temps and fan speeds (if bios reports it). I agree with all the other responses...the 6990m is a mature chip and should easily handle the freqs you are reporting.
