I recently purchased a 5793 haven't really had allot of time to set anything up b/c of work. I stuck a real movie in and it wouldn't let me play it b/c of a wrong region error. What gives?
Also if anyone can help me change the damn size on this thing, running Vista and on the 17 inch screen all the font on my pages is too small.....

Why would I have to change the region of a movie that I bought here in the states? Is there something wrong with the computer?

And how do I change the dpi?

Probably the DVD reader is set to US and the DVD is not for US.it's a built in protection in DVD.There are software tools which can over ride this.

It's not a problem, but exists in almost every player.

Thanks the region wasn't set for anywhere.

Is there a way to change indiviudal websites? My DPI was set for larger font and when you mess with the custom DPI anything larger than 120 it just messed up the layouts.

I recommend the highly powerful and simple:
    - Media Player Classic

Go to www.free-codecs.com, it comes included with:
    - K-Lite Codec pack
    - Real Alternative (installs just the Real codec, so you can play the videos on any media player of you choice w/o having to install the crappy RealOne player)
    - Quicktime Alternative (installs just the Quicktime codec, so you can play the videos on any media player of you choice w/o having to install the crappy Quicktime player)
    ... etc...

Other good Codec packs are the
    -Combined Comunity Codec Pack and
    -Ace Mega Codec Pack
Paired with KMPlayer, or Mplayer or GomPlayer and VLC, there should be no movie not working.

Does anyone know what the difference between the Media Center, Media player, Nero Home and the Cyperlink DVD players are?

Media Player, Media Center and Nero Home do not come with the commercial (read legal [in U.S.]) codecs necessary for DVD playback. Cyberlink DVD does. After Cyberlink DVD player installs the codec, then the rest should have the capability as well.

Just use the browsers' built in text sizer. It's different for each browser, but works well.
