So I got the TV Tuner option on my 9262 and finally have the time to sit down and play with it... but I can't get it to work for the life of me. I'm using Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

The user guide tells me to install the MPC788 disk first, which I do. I reboot. When I get back in, it says my card is recognized in the taskbar.

Next I'm supposed to install the MCE Encoder disk. It oddly tells me it needs to uninstall XXX drivers to reinstall the same XXX drivers I just did from the first disk! I have to to proceed however, so I do. It goes through the installation. User guide says it needs this encoder for Windows Media Center to recognize the card.

I reboot. Log back into windows, plug in the antenna that came with the system. Pop into Windows Media Center, try to automatically scan for a TV signal... nada. Tried manually setting it. Nada. Nothing but static.

It also mentions that I should have a copy of Cyberlink PowerCinema 4 but I dont see it on any of the disks. ^^

Anyone who has a 9262 able to get this working?

    >.> haven't a lot of states now converted to digital only? The tuners that come built it are definitely not for digital reception, so that could be why you get nothing. Try connecting the cable from your tv and see if you get anything.

I tried connecting my cable right from my wall into the computer. I know for a fact my cable is digital, but didnt seem to get anything doing it that way either. Automatic scan says no signal detected. =\

Maybe I gotta talk to tech support to something and see if they can help.
