    Hey,

Could someone with the 5793 help me with figuring out how to change the multipliers of the X9000 processor? I have the .08 BIOS, and advanced chipset options look something like this:

CPU multiplier: x14 (this is not greyed out, but i also cant select it)
    CPU Overclock: Disabled

I can change the CPU overclock from disabled to x1 or x2. I did this, saved, rebooted. It didnt change anything, still running at 2.8 ghz.

    what am I missing? ^^

If you change to 1x it runs at 3.0, 2x runs at 3.2

It still says 2.8 at boot BUT if you check the speed in windows using CPU-Z or another similar program you will see that it is 3.0 or 3.2 (depending on your bios setting).

If you have a Rock X770 the BIOS will not allow the overclocking - the options are there in the BIOS but it won't actually overclock the CPU. There are actually two versions of the .08, one that does overclock and the other that doesn't. I'd suggest you get in touch with Sager, Kobalt or perhaps someone here can upload it for you (I would but my notebook is at home!).

that is the official clevo one. it needs to be flashed from dos unless you have the winphlash program (if you need it lmk but it is MUCH safer to do it through a dos prompt)

this will change the boot up screen to say "style note" if your says anything else like rock or other wanted you to know that. if you can provide me with a rock logo i can make you the clevo bios with a rock boot up screen. lmk if i can help

thank you very much. It already just shows the "style note" on startup, so thats not a problem.
By DOS flash do you mean I should create an .iso from all the things in that folder and burn it on a disk? and the boot it?

Im also guessing that doing this would void my warranty if it creates problems

no make a dos boot disk using fat32...i recc a usb stick since they are cheap and easy. then copy the files i provided onto the usb stick or disc. reboot go into the bios set the system to boot from usb under boot options. save and exit. once at the c: prompt direct it to the place where you copied the files i provided and type "phlash16" and hit enter, then it will start the update for you.

    also sending you pm

I had the same problem you are having with my Sager NP5793 review unit, all I had to do was update the BIOS and it fixed everything. I recommend emailing Sager tech support and getting the BIOS.
