I wanted to get some opions on the set up listed below which is a Sager 5760 the configuration listed below comes to $2765 with Hypersonic and the same setup with Powernotebooks is $2855.00. Now here are the few questions I have:
Which vendor? I am leaning towards powernotebooks because they seem to always be on the forums and willing to help but $110.00 difference is alot.
Next will the 1900X1200 have any issues with frame rates when gaming any of the more demanding games? should I get the WSXGA+ instead?
Is there anything else you would change ? I am waiting until the Nov 1st to order (when the money in my christmas fund is released from my bank) Which is right around the corner.
Thanks for the Help!!

I went with Hypersonic strictly due to price. Also call them directly as you can probably get a carry case or HDD upgrade for free. And if you have US government employee status you can an additional 2% off.
I have the 1900x1200 on the 7900GTX and it has no trouble at all with EQ2, FEAR, or Oblivion.
Other than that the only difference between my system and your future system is I ordered a T7600 from Newegg and installed that after I received the notebook. The T7400 should be sufficient though. And the additional speed of the 7950GTX should help offset the difference.
Their customer support has been average to good. But then I did ask some very difficult questions for a re-badging company to answer. -
nice specs, definitely going to be a screamer.
the specs that you posted are the technically the best for the money, that notebook should be able to handle any game or program that you throw at it.
And Hypersonic PC is a good and up-to-par OEM, like Alienware and Sager.
REMEMBER to check the option(s) to get the free Windows Vista Business with your purchase.

OK great thanks for the help and info! I guess I will go with the 1920X1200 screen

I'm looking at the same notebook, with a couple modifications. First, I'm not going with the low-latency RAM. I don't think I'll see a performance gain from it that justifies the extra $46. Secondly, I'm going with the WSXGA+ instead of the WUXGA. I went to Circuit City and Best Buy to check out some of the displays and I really don't think I'd like the 1920x1200 resolution. Not only that, but the WUXGA is more pixils to have problems with (dead or dim) and more that your GPU has to push to. Third, I'm going with the 80 gig HDD instead of the 100 gig. I've got a 30 gig drive now and have not filled it, so I'm skeptical that I'll need much more. Finally, I'm going with the 1.83 Ghz Core 2 Duo instead of the 2.16 Ghz. For the price difference you won't see that big of processing difference. As mentioned here before (my own questions on the matter) the limiting factor for gaming is going to be the GPU, not the CPU. And you can change out the CPU later if you want, but initially it will save some $$.
I also went with internal bluetooth, because I link up with my cell phone a lot for various things, but that's just preference.
Any which way, if you're going with the specs you have listed and don't mind the price, I think you'll be very happy. I know as soon as mine comes in I will be! -
remember to give us a review of your new notebook

I sure will as soon as I get it!
Help with choosing vendors and specs.
