Hi, first post here. I just got a Sager 9262 from XoticPC. I got 3 200GB hard drives in raid-5. Now the problem is that my windows experience index base score is 3.1 because of my "disk data transfer rate." Is this normal? Is there a fix?

    Welcome to NBR SirWInsalot!

well, first of all, dont trust WEI. It is a very inaccurate benchmarking tool. It gives completely different scores to different computes, although the two maybe exactly the same. If you are worried, I suggest you bench mark ur HDD Speed using HDtune. Much more accurate that WEI.

What are the individual drive speeds?

    Regards,
    hkman

Thanks for the quick response. I'm running 200gb SATA300 drives. I'll try and HDtune.

    They're 7200. I ran HDtune. HD Tune:

HD Tune: Intel Raid 5 Volume Benchmark

    Transfer Rate Minimum : 65.5 MB/sec
    Transfer Rate Maximum : 109.5 MB/sec
    Transfer Rate Average : 93.1 MB/sec
    Access Time : 14.5 ms
    Burst Rate : 104.8 MB/sec
    CPU Usage : 3.8%

Is that good or bad? Also, the temp for the hard drive doesn't show. Anything I can do about that?

Thanks. I guess Kudos to Microsoft for making such a great benchmark.
