Ok, well i bought Logitech z-5500 speakers today and tried connecting them to my acer aspire 8930g laptop. Connected the speakers to laptops headphone, mic-in and line-in connectors (though the collors didn't match according to the role). in Acer hd audio manager (a.k.a. Realtek hd audio manager), i changed line-in to rear speakers, mic-in to center/subwoofer, but it doesn't let me change the headphone one to front speakers. Therefore when i connect my rear speakers and center/sub they play normally, but whenever i plug the last one in they go quiet and only front speakers work. Well i understand that it goes to headphone mode, but the thing is that i cannot change headphone jack as Front speakers. Neither double click, nor right click get me to Connect retasking menu (can only change mic-in and line-in). HELP PLZ![]()

well i found the answer myself. apparently my headphone jack has a S/PDIF support so i just need that cable to connect it to my z-5500. more shopping to do tomorrow. hopefully that'll do the trick
