I am having horrid chopping/lag issues with my Clevo M570RU. I will try to describe it the best I can. I have had my system just a few days and installed a few games, that's about all. I get a horrid 'hiccup' where the game lags in FPS for a few seconds then goes back to normal. This happens about every 10-20 seconds while playing any game (and doing anything else), even old ones. I sort of noticed it while doing other things too, but it's much more apparent in games. I was told it was my video drivers which were 94.22 (I believe) and so I upgraded them to the modded INF 163.44 (or whatever the newest ones are). The drivers installed fine, but the choppy/lag issue is still there.
Some basics people have been asking me...
1) No, Im not running on the battery, system has been plugged in the whole time.
2) Yes, I changed the power/performance settings toward pure gaming.
3) It happens in any resolution.
4) I DID try multiple drivers.
Also my 3DMark06 score was around 3900, which I assume is awful for my specs.
Please help!!! I don't want to have to ship my system all the way back to California or pay $55.00 just so geek squad can look at it.
Thanks!!

Did you install any other drivers recently? (for any hardware) If so, then roll them back one-by-one until you find the bad apple.
Try disabling all your network connections and see if the problem goes away.
I've had problems in the past where I upgrade my network drivers and things went to hell. The periodic nature and the "pause" remind me of a network "freeze" issue I had before as well (not Sager/Clevo related). -
I have upgraded my drivers once. My previous (factory) drivers had the same problem as my new ones. The problem occurs in single player mode even with no ethernet hook up.

1) Make sure that you are plugged into AC power
2) Make sure to try stock drivers first
3) Make sure to set the PowerMizer (in Nvidia Control Panel) to all Max Performance
4) Make sure to monitor the GPU temps (to see if it can be heat) -
1) I know I'm plugged into AC, because the battery icon will appear in my system tray when I unplug the AC.
2) The entire reason I updated my drivers was because the original ones were giving me the error I am complaining about.
3) Yup, it's at max performance.
4) I have a zalman running at full power under my system. -
