i figured that was it.. but most ppl use ctrlaltdel to get into task manager so i assumed..

anyway. Try ending the program in task manager. Googling it. ANd if its unecessary (maybe even spyware) uninstall/delete that program if thats wats causing it....i dunno wat u did to change it... i didnt kno u could. Its normally just stupposed to ask if you want to start task manager, log off, etc...

were you not doing a huge amount of backing up of your data? you should have done some system restore points. perhaps you have?

I would expect the culprit is windowblinds as what you are describing is basically what it does...You should be able to restore defaults through windowblinds.

Do a system restore to a date before you started messing around with that program. I've had lousy experiences with theme editors too. Doing a system restore to before it started should most likely fix it...even if you didn't set a restore date, windows makes regular check points...and there will most likely be one not too long before you started experiencing this.

right im so lcose to fixing it, its becuase of something called "client services for netware so i think all i have to do is uninstall this and it should be okay.

EDIT: its fixed, seems as though it wasnt windowsblinds but some netware thing that i had accidently installed when i was trying to get the internet to work, even with the ethernet cable in it kept saying it was unplugged ???

I'm not sure if you're using XP or Vista. In XP, go to control Panel -> Performance/Maintenance, and it should be an option on the left bar.

In Vista go System/Maintenance -> Backup and Restore Center and there will be an option under restore files called "Use System restore to fix problems and undo changes to Windows"

If you got it fixed some other way though, that's great :)

Armageddonash - didn't you buy this system from Rambo29? Since the first thing that set you off was the statement that the user (you) was logged in as terminator/rambo, perhaps there are still some leftover settings from when Rambo had the system - you might ask him for some help, at least in terms of figuring out what settings he had on when he owned the system.

the problem was created by installing some driver that deactivates the ling screen and changes the other screen, strange. and bu the way how do i make it stop showing RAMBO everywhere?. ive created a new user "Ashley" but i still find "RAMBO" everywhere

May be the RAMBO is some where deep inside the system.Try getting some screen shots if possible.

Did you create a new user called Ashley or rename the old acct? If you renamed it, the comp won't rename the directories, just the links to them. If you created a new user and rambo/terminator are still showing up then it's likely either the computer name hasn't been changed, or some of the programs installed are "registered" (read installed by) rambo... A reinstall is really the only way to fully remove old designations (A full clean install, not an upgrade install)
