My Sager 5760/Clevo M570U battery won't hold a charge. Meaning that when I put the laptop in the AC charger, it does do anything. As soon as I plug at the wire (sometimes by accident which is very annoying) the computer turns off. Is there any to fix this because I don't want to replace it. Help please.

First off is it still under warranty?? Check if your company warrants the battery and AC charger.

Second is there a way you can test the battery or a 2nd battery to test with? Being that your battery is over a year old would bring concern if it is able to hold a charge or not.

i would probably suspect both the AC charger and the battery, and you may need to replace them.

the battery will not hold a charge if its been overcharged (which is usually what happens).

people do not realize that leaving the system always plugged into the AC (especially with a good surge protector) the PSU and battery will be affected.

leaving the AC power plugged in almost 24/7 will degrade the battery the fastest.

if the laptop turns off by sometimes bumping into the power cord it sounds like the ac plug-in is lose and needs to be soldered properly. i am not sure why it's not charging the batter. it may be related to the lose ac plug-in connector.

So I guess that I can't fix the batter somehow.

my d900t was doing the same thing. it would not charge or hold it's battery charge and would hard boot on it's own or especially if i wiggled the power cord. i took it apart to find that it had a blown resistor / transistor and the ac connector was loose as well. had to get a new, refurbished motherboard and cost me $500 dollars about 6 months ago.
