Hi guys, whenever I plug my Sager 7358 into my TV via HDMI the audio becomes very high-pitched. Nothing I've played with seems to make any difference and I've updated the audio drivers. One thing that seems strange is that the VIA HD audio program doesn't seem to have anything to do with HDMI or recognize it. The problem still happens when I close that program though. Anybody else had this problem or have tips on solving it?

I know it's the laptop because my Lenovo functions just fine using the same cable/TV.

So you know the cable is good and the port on the TV is good since they both work with your Lenovo.

Do you have any thing else that has HDMI in like another TV or a stereo receiver that you can test on?

Unfortunately the TV is all I've got with an HDMI input.

With what you can test with it does sound like the HDMI port. I would contact your reseller about setting up an RMA.

HDMI audio is usually treated as a separate audio device. If it does the same with any display I would say hardware issue too.
