    Hey.

Just a question about getting the most performance from our Hm series laptop, with the 7970m installed.

Currently i am running the latest 12.8 beta drivers, and they work well - but have not really looked at any others.

Really just wondering if any other HM owners with the 7970m, have any opinion on which are the best drivers so far for the card , and which ones seem to give the most stable OC ?

    Cheers
    Pj

I've tried many different drivers, mainly to see if I could get hdmi to work (in the end I couldn't).
One thing I didn't check was how well the 7970m could overclock with different drivers.

Currently I'm using the latest driver as well.

Cool - still playing around with various drivers etc and receiving advice from Jaybee.

Interestingly, my voltage is at 0.975, which seems to be rather low.

In 2D mode that is? It should run at 1.05v in 3Dmode. Using 9.x beta drivers right now, they finally fixed the HWA issues i've been having :)

Still having problems - when i over clock, the screen "Flickers" when in 2d mode, yet when using the 3d clocks - it works fine - obviously this is far from ideal -

once again , trying to change the voltage from 0.975 v- though the new flashed vbios dont seem to do that :S

I currently run 12.8 release drivers. Everything seems to be ok right now temperature and performance wise.

    3Dmark 11: P5791 (with 2720QM cpu)
    idle temp: 35-37°C
    max bf3 temp: 77°C
framerate in bf3 and gw2 seems to be ok on ultra.

Btw I haven't been able to figure out how to overclock the card slightly. I currently drop to 0.82V idle and 1V ingame. Could you point me in the right direction regarding oc'ing?
