    Hi everyone! I'm feeling insanely pleased with an e-mail I just read from Neil@Kobalt. He's taken some pictures of my design that I'd photoshopped heavily to make the grade to be laser etched on my notebook lid.

    I can't wait to see it up close and personal if these pics are anything to go by!!!

    I didn't even know that Kill Bill was still in style at the moment. It's one of my favourite films and the chosen image etch will always be a cool moment of the film for me. I love Japanese culture and think that Tarantino did an amazing job with the film... including so many cool lines of dialogue, choreography, Anime sequences, split-screen sequences, sound overlays, establishing shots, mise-en-scene, etc, etc. I don't really care how trendy Kill Bill is in everyone else's eyes. I, personally, think the film is a masterpiece. :p

    ( Aliens is my all-time favourite film, but having an etch of the Alien Queen would be a bit too trendy... although the Colonial Marine Corp logo would have been cool).

    Mr Blobby? Oh my god! He annoyed me so much. I wonder if you ever saw his Keep Fit video, Mr. DJ. (Don't!)

    P.S. I like the fact that the laptop will be one-of-a-kind. If it ever goes missing, I'd say the design would be quite a distinctive feature... and off-putting to potential thieves as a result! They can scratch out serial numbers, names and post codes... but they can't scratch out Uma! :)

    Try asking Kobalt Computers who they use to do the laser etching. All I know is that they have to take the laptops somewhere else to get them done. You might be able to send your laptop off to them?

    Just found out how much the design has cost me, for those interested...

    £45 (incl. VAT instead of excl. VAT, due to having waited a while for the laser etching to be done - the etcher was pretty busy at the time).
