Hope my d901c Gets Shipped soon!

I hope my laptop gets shipped soon.

I put my order in on friday.

If they have all the parts in stock and the notebook... it should not take that long. right?

they just put it together and ship it out? am I wrong?

or do they do some mandatory 36 hour test to see if it working properly?

I heard some people order a notebook and 2 days later it ships.

what is the best case scenario for getting your notebook shipped (time). not how long it takes to get to your house.

but how long it takes them to build/test/ship?

who did you order from? sager direct? Xotic? just curious...i think there is always some testing, etc., that goes on that would make it take at least a few days

i ordered from Eurocom cuz i live in canada.

i just got an update. they say that they used all the 8800 capable d90xC's and they don't get any more in until Thursday.

so I am sol. I asked if they could get it out by friday. but i doubt that will happen.

 

Looks like they won't be getting the units until end of day Friday.

they say that maybe monday it will go out.

I did however ask if they were getting any Blue D90xC's in. and since they only get the blue's in @ 1680x1050, i asked if they get them could they do a 1900x1200 glossy swap for me.

i hope things work out in that direction because that's the one I have my heart/mind set-on!

 

Well, John told me that the Blue Meanies are discontinued.

so I will be getting Black/Grey.

So, Monday ETA shipping I hope is in effect.

The 9262 I ordered from Xotic is in Phase 3, off to paint/skin/personalize! I'm hopeful that by the 24th it will be in my hands!

Well, I've got some cash saved up, so hopefully soon, maybe sooner if I can gird myself up to take on a bit o' debt (I've got student loans out the wazoo, so I really, really hate more debt ).

 

i got mine paid off just this year.

i owe my getting the d901c to the selling of my xps that gave me a 2k boost.

then all I needed was 1500 more. thank you paycheck + credit cardo.

Yah, there's the credit card, and then there's also the wife. I think I've "made" the case to the wife that I need a new computer (spending two weeks up until 2 am most nights doing three - count em, 3 - consecutive re-installs - all from the 2003 factory install "recovery" CDs no less - talk about a pain in the a55 doing serial updates from MS, with an old a/b wireless that has decided to start dropping signal whenever it has to deal with a big download - will do that :twitcy: :SLEEP: ).

Now I just have to bring myself into the 21st century and get more comfortable with carrying credit card debt across several months.

 

Inflation will skyrocket as oil rises from $104.00 a barrel to $200.00, so might as well buy it now!

 

Well, at least (i) I don't drive a car daily, and (ii) I don't have any investments in fixed rate bonds.

 

John Emailed me and Told me that thier UNITS Direct from Clevo have came in.

they have many Palates in stock of them now.

He said they should build/test my unit today and it will most likely be going out express shipping on monday.

I always wanted a Clevo. My first gaming rig was a clevo 500p p4 9600 pro.

I built the m1710 because I was bored. and I got alot out of the girl.

plus I got enough when I sold her to get my dream notebook.

and I plan on adding my oc knowledge to the 8800 when I get it.
