Ok, earlier today I noticed that if I tried to change the color of the backlight under my keyboard on my Sager np9150, it wouldn't bring up the application that allows me to do so. So, i looked up other ways to access that application and i ran into a thread that said i could open it through the hotkey application. However, i could not open the hotkey program. I remember it having an icon in the system tray, so i looked at the icon and it had a red circle with a line through it on the icon as if it had a problem. As of now, i've tried to update my hotkey program from 6.0044 to 6.0045 and 6.0051 and i've done a system restore to before the issue occured. Neither of these have worked. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would happen and how i can fix it?

Only time I can't access it is if the computer blue screens and sometimes when booting up from that the program won't work. A simple restart fixes it for me. Your issue sounds odd. Sorry I can't help any, lol.

Ok, so i updated to the 6.0069 driver and it still doesn't work. I honestly don't know why it won't work.

That also doesn't work. I think it's a combination of both the hotkey application and the keyboard backlight application not working.

    Hi Austiwade912,

I used to have similar problems when I did a reformat of my laptop. And currently after upgrading to Win 8 also had problems with the latest drivers.
I've fixed it though by first uninstalling the current version of Hotkey. As I can remember while on a Win 7 Ult, version 6.0045 worked well for me after which I installed new drivers to 6.0056 which was as good.

After getting Win 8 I installed version 8.0071, not the best experience however. Went back to version 6.0056 which is my current version and works well with Win 8.
I'd suggest you uninstall the current version of "Hotkey", restart your computer.
Then go to this website (Clevo's) : CLEVO - Download
And get either version 6.0045 or version 6.0056.

Best of luck and hope it'll work for you.

I'm having the same problem, my keyboard is stuck on blue and Fn+/ doesn't work.

I followed the link, except how do I know which driver is which? And what is the system (sager NP9140) on there??
