I've tried restarting my computer, restarting the program, etc. and nothing has worked. From a brief Google search it looks like this program has a habit of just randomly becoming useless without a fix. Is there seriously not a decent solution for this? I've had multiple computers with backlit keyboards but none of them have required an outside program to configure, it seems like a really poor design.
What are my options (other than a reset/restore)?

1) Please uninstall the current hotkey driver then reboot
2) Install the latest one again: Control Center AP v5.0001.0.90 (AKA Hotkey Driver)
To install the Clevo Control Center without the built-in CPU/Memory Overclocking tool (which contains XTU components):
Edit the OEM.INI file in the Clevo Control Center driver's directory before you install it:
Change SupportXTUFanTable=1 to SupportXTUFanTable=0
3) Reboot when prompted
Let me know how it goes -

Or just use our app to install it:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/clevo-p870dm2-3-drivers-mirror.795059/page-18
It does have a protection code for hotkey:
-If hotkey is installed it triggers an uninstall first
-After you reboot open the app and the controlcenter install is "pending"
-Click it, it will download a already modded control center and start installsteberg and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
Thanks both of you! Phoenix your suggestion worked, though there was no conflict with my antivirus program so that wasn't necessary. In the future I'll try the app if this happens again!
Glad it was an easier fix than I thought.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

I'm interested to know why it wasn't working initially, like what do you think you were doing wrong
Hotkey is not showing up on the taskbar, and not functioning.
