You guys know the Fn + f1-f12 keys that change the volume and brightness etc? The first day of using my laptop it was working fine and the picture in the top left was popping up, but now they work but I can't see any picture :( It's not that bad but I would like to know what level the volume is at, not just by listening. Does anyone know how to get the picture back?

    thanks!

If you notice that next time, also make sure that the startup file has been removed in msconfig. The hotkeys will work even with the hotkey program disabled, but you'll notice that the icons don't show up on your screen.

btw, anyone knows the list of combinations with FN?
    Not like FN+FXX, but as:
    Fn+1 - max coolers speed
    Fn+5 - THX ON

    else?

on a side note is it possible to disable to disable FN + F4 ( Sleep hotkey)

I have a tendency to accidentally hit that instead of volume down

Yeah I can see the hotkey driver 2 times in MSconfig. However I only have one ticked, how can I uninstall the other?
    does it really matter?

It doesn't really matter. If you uncheck them it will disable the on screen graphics. You can double check in the control panel whether you have two versions installed, but I've never seen that.

Yeah there's only one Hotkey thing in Programs and features, but two in msconfig. I guess it doesn't really matter, thanks

Multiple entries of the same program tend to appear in msconfig when you disable that program via some external software and then re-enable it within the program itself. You see, disabling auto-start moves the program's appropriate registry entry to another registry folder. Most programs don't bother checking this folder and simply write a new entry in the run folder when you re-enable them (or they re-enable themselves).

    tl;dr: It doesn't really matter. :)
