Ive been eyeing the NP9176 lately but my main concern is the screen. There is not much in terms of specifications on the site. I was hoping to get some first hand experiences and maybe some comparisons to other modern laptops. Thank you

Which one, the 4k or 1080p?

I guess it depends on which one looks better. I would prefer the 1080p but if the 4k one is brighter and has more accurate colors then id go with that.

Its main purpose will be for gaming.

Then the 1080p 144Hz AVHA panel is going to give you the best experience. It's focused on speed bit still provides better viewing angles than TN did.

Seconded. 4K is suboptimal for gaming in laptops at the moment so unless you need it for content creation as well, the faster refresh will treat you a lot better than the higher resolution.

No problem, both do get the job done but both are offered to tweak for the best experience for slightly different people. The 4k screens are for content creators and those who prioritise media content over gaming.

Yeah I get that. There is just very little info about these screens out there. Xotic did a review on it and said the screen was "pretty good". Im picky when it comes to screens and was hoping for some comparisons or more specifications on them.

You'll find for the more unique screens like high refresh rates, if you look at a point in time all resellers are going to be using a similar panel so if you look up a review from the likes of notebookcheck that will give you an answer.
