I re-applied my thermal compound recently. When I put the heat-sink back over the video card, I forgot to make sure the thermal pads were correctly aligned over the V-RAM. Now I am really paranoid over every texture pop-in or graphical oddity I see, even if they are probably normal. If anyone could tell me the signs and symptoms of overheating V-RAM it would be appreciated.

(Also I'm not sure if I posted this twice, I tried a few minutes ago and something went wrong so I am reposting)

You can try running ATItool and scan for artifacts.

I'll try that. I've run Furmark with no problems in the way of artifacting or anything like it.
