Wow I can't believe people still call it a "downclocking issue." You must realize it is 100% INTENTIONAL and I for one like having a longer battery life. Seriously, who plays crysis in the park or library?

NO, there were downclocking issues WHILE on AC...

Like eleron said, it was stuck PERMANENTLY at the throttle speeds and NEVER clocked up to full speed even when on AC...I call that a downclocking issue...Or possibly an underclocking issue (as it's not clocking down, it's just permanently at a lower clock speed)...

    Hi

I am new to this forum, just came about it as I had the same problem with My Lenovo Z61p Thinkpad. After googling for a couple of days, I read once that you have to disable the AHCI in the BIOS, which, simply enough, worked. Though motherboards can be different, you should probably find it in the advanced settings under SATA. Hope that will work for you!

    Hi all,

I have a Clevo M570RU and I'm trying to install the Intel Robson driver, but it says "Device not found or please enable it before installing its driver!" Now, In system utilities I have enabled the Intel Robson (and it also shows me that all the hard drives are enabled as well including AHCI), but when I try again to install the driver, it says the same thing. What should I do to make this work? Is there a button that will fix it? Is there a setup that I didn't take care of it? I would really appreciate if you guys can help me. Thank you in advance!!!! :)

Is it enabled in BIOS? (That's where you'd enable it first)

Yes, it says it's enabled, but when I try to install the driver, it says that "device not found or please enable it before installing the driver". It may be possible that I might not have the Intel Robson device on my laptop? But why would they give me the driver for it?

Did you buy memory for it? Er, it sounds like you didn't buy Turbo memory when you bought your notebook, so you don't have any. If you're using the drivers disc that came with the notebook it would have all drivers for all configurations of notebooks the reseller sells. They're not tailoring discs for you specifically.

You should be finding more up to date drivers for your notebook anyway, as the drivers disc that comes with notebooks usually has outdated drivers.
