Hi guy. Im new here and heres the dilemma i have. I want to go back to stock drivers since my sager np9150 7970m has been heating too much when playing games. Its just really bothering me since I installed these drivers way back when. I dont even remember what version these drivers are on so

    1) how do i know what version my 7970m driver is on (definitely not stock)

    2) how do i revert it back to stock/uninstall the drivers cleanly (or if anyone else advises me to get the latest most stable version, how do i install that)

Thanks a lot for the help. I really need it

I noticed very little to no temperature increase when going from stock to 13.1. Are you sure the heating is related to the drivers (and not dust, bad paste job etc.)? How hot does the 7970M get?

You can check the driver version from the device manager.

Again, how hot does the 7970M get?

That driver is the Enduro Performance driver (I think). As I haven't personnally tried to newer drivers, I would suggest you to install the 13.1. So first uninstall the AMD driver, then the Intel driver. Then install the intel driver, and after that the 13.1. It should work without any additional tweaks.

Then how do you know the card is heating too much :D?. You can use for example this: HWMonitor - CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting , just make sure you are running a program using the dedicated card before opening the hwmonitor (i.e. make sure the 7970M is activated).

    FYI
normal gaming temps for the 7970M would be between 70 and 85 C (or am i wrong?).

also max out your fans with FN+1 when gaming, it helps a lot.
