How do we know the P150HM/P151HM are SATA 3 6GB/s?

I've seen confirmation from several users and retailers on this forum that the NP8130/8150 P150HM series are indeed SATA 3 (the HDD bay, not the Optical Bay).

I've had trouble convincing someone else of this and I don't have a SATA 3 drive to benchmark this. All the Sager and Clevo documentation and specs all only say "SATA" with no indication to supported speeds.

Is there somewhere in Win7 where I can check the SATA speed like we could check UltraDMA 3/4/5/6, etc. in WinXP?

Has anybody done any good storage benchmarks with these systems?

if you download the technical manual, it shows Sata 6G in the schematics.. sata 6gb/s is the sata 3.. there are benchmarks around the forum that show ssd's getting sata 3 speeds.. idk where it'll say sata 3 exactly on the machine. maybe if you disassemble it, it may be labeled on the mobo

Maybe this screenshot from the Intel Rapid Storage application will make you feel better?

Could you try that again? I'm getting "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

    Thanks.

Could I have a link to that service manual or at least just the relevant section? There's nothing on the Clevo site or the user manual.

For one thing, my C300 SATA III SSD shows over 300MB/s + Read,

which is proof that SATA III is working.. :D

I think it's because it has the Intel® HM65 Chipset

    which has SATA 6 Gb
