    How is GTX Optimus wired?

    Other than the LVDS, which displays are attached to the Intel chip?

    All of them. In an Muxless Video Switching Setup (What optimus, powerexpress, endo, whatever they want to call the marketing name) ALL of the displays are wired to the intel chip.

    Since all these switchable graphics wire the display to the intel chip, is there a good chance that a system that is Optimus ready will also be Enduro ready? I.e. will they use the same hardware/wiring but differ in the software drivers that govern them?

    Thats why its real name is Muxless video switching. Its all the same, different brands just call it different things. Its all done via drivers.

    Not always.

    I've found that certain laptops, especially Dells, have the HDMI port wired to the Nvidia card.

    That was for a specific reason, which was to allow for more than two monitors to be connected, but the new 7 series / IVB can do 3 at once so it won't have that limitation so you probably won't see it this generation
