I was looking at the Blackhawk XR5. Anybody have any knowledge of this machine?

Is it a Clevo {looks like one}? If it is a Clevo, how come other resellers do not offer the Q9450 and Q9550 that are offered in the Blackhawk?

How is PCMicroWorks? Anybody have dealings with them or have a Blackhawk?

I used PCmicroworks.. THERE IS A HUGE SALE GOING ON NOW FOR THE 9262 and 5793... EVERYTHING EXTEREMLY CHEAP.. i dunno why or how. I would buy now from them if i could... SO CHEAP...

the Q9450 works... other resellers still think its buggy. and the Q9550 is a pre-order thing. you wont get ur laptop till june i think or sumtin.. but holy crap look at those sales!

every retailer offers different components for their systems- Clevo solely provides the chassis and the vendors then add what they want...

I would assume so, benchmarks are much better, plus the q9450 and 9550 are a 45nm penryn chip

I would get on that if you are going to buy it, the microworks deal ends at midnight i would assume, the price seems very low... I wish i could make a decision right now so I could take advantage of they're weekend deal, oh well.....

I work with them about upgrades and cut good deals with them even wen it wasnt a sale weekend. You wouldnt believe the price i paid for wats in my sig back in August... under 3k obviously... they were helpful before. ANd anytime i feel a piece in my laptop is shotty, inverters/LCD cables, they send it rite out as long as u return your damaged piece. Always answer the customer service. It helps if u get to know a specific rep. there.

    ...after sales support? Great!

Damn I just ordered and didn't see a discount for students. Do you think if I call them tomorrow they will add the student discount for me?
BTW I just sold my desktop because I will be traveling alot, it had the Q6600 and a 8800gts 320. How do you think the Blackhawk with the Q9450,4gb ram and the 8800gtx I just ordered will stack up against it?

    I CAN'T WAIT!

    Thanks
