    How long does it take for XoticPC to ship?

    My Dad is ordering a laptop (NP5175) for me in a couple days (probably by like the 17th), when should it get here? (I got a screen upgrade to matte, and it said it takes an extra 4-7 business days.) I was just wondering because I'll need it by September, and I don't know if I should ask him to get it rushed shipped or something like that.

    It all depends on how many extra days the matte screen upgrade takes and how far you live from Lincoln Nebraska. Best case scenario 4 days for the matte upgrade + 2-3 days to build and test laptop + # days it takes UPS ground to ship from Lincoln Nebraska to your house. Worst case scenario, tack on 3 more business days.

    I should be able to give you a good idea, I tested what the max length can be :)
    I just got my laptop.

    I live on the East Coast as well. It took 27 days to get mine, but that was with the RAM Promo and Paying "Cash". So there's your worst case.

    Subtract 1 week if you don't pay "cash".
    Subtract 5 Days if you aren't doing the RAM Promo.

    EDIT: And that's with a screen upgrade on mine, like you're doing.

    Production time is right around 3-7 business days and we do the screen install here which is usually done in 1-4 business days upon arrival from production in Sager. If I can help with anything don't hesitate to send me a PM. :)

    I feel your pain PD... I ordered my 8170 on the 4th with a screen upgrade and waiting for the 6990m. Two days ago my current laptop kicked the bucket leaving me pretty much with just my smartphone and wondering how long it will take to get my new bundle of joy.
