I am going to pull the trigger on a NP8150-S1 as soon as they have the 580m GTX available. Curious how many of you bought the dead pixel warranty.

I had to buy it to replace my original LCD with a cluster of dead pixels.

You have a 30 day unconditional return policy, so I don't think it's worth the money. You can always just tell your reseller that you're going to keep returning them until you have an A+ panel, I'm sure that they'll check it for dead pixels for you and get a perfect display out to you.

EDIT: And the chances of getting dead pixels are pretty slim...most people get A+ panels.

Right the 30 day return guarantee makes the dead pixel thing a moot point. I guess they pay for shipping if you buy the guarantee, but it costs like $30 to ship UPS ground across the country, so hardly makes up for the $100 for the dead pixel guarantee. In any case, I haven't read but maybe one person that got a machine with a dead or stuck pixel.

We went through 4 panels before I got the perfect one. So it's 3 out of 4 defective for me.
