I've been searching around to find how many external screens the Clevo P377SM-A Laptop can handle and with what resolution.

To be more specific I would like to know if it would be possible, using the Thunderbolt and HDMI-port, to connect 2x 2k screens + 1x 4k screen, or to connect 4x 2k screens at the same time.

Until now I couldn't find any answer and I would be very thankful if someone could help me out.

I know at least two... but it might be able to do three with daisy-chaining via displayport.

The HDMI should do 4k using 4:2:0 subsampling, the thunderbolt port can be treated as displayport 1.1a, which has a max of 2560x1600.

Thank you for the answers, I thought the thunderbolt port was a 1.2a display-port and so able to support two 2k screens using a daisy-chaining cable. My goal is to set up a 3 monitors installation, the first in 4k resolution and the other two in 2k resolution. I had thought about a 4x 2k monitor set-up if the 4k resolution wasn't supported, but as it seems to be, I would like to know if the computer could manage the 3 screens in this resolution without too much trouble.

The thunderbolt port SHOULD be a 1.2 display port.

Thunderbolt 1 is 1.1 as far as I understand.

Depends on if it's Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 1. Thunderbolt 2 is displayport 1.2 support. Wikipedia said that the earliest released product to support TB2 was october 22nd 2013 in a macbook, but I don't know. But thunderbolt can support DP 1.2, yes.

Edit: Thunderbolt v1 supports Displayport 1.1a. I don't know the max for that, but it's not just DP 1.

As it seems to be a Thunderbolt 1 port, it will probably only support Displayport 1.1a as you say. By the way, D2 Ultima, I notice that your computer is in fact a Clevo P370SM3, and as the port probably didn't change between the P370SM3 and the P377SM-A, I would like to know if you tried to use your Thunderbolt-port as a Displayport. If yes what did you manage to use as maximum resolution?
What do you think of your Laptop anyway?

Meaker, I had two question about PowerNotebooks, do you send your Laptops only in the USA or do you also send them in Europe. Until now I didn't found good resellers, so perhaps you could help me out. If yes, is it possible to request a computer with an other keyboard or do you only do the standard one for US?

    Thank you in advance :)

I think when my laptop works it's a thing of beauty and I love it absolutely to death. Sometimes I find the CPU runs just a bit hot, but it actually can't be helped all that much really. When I go in a AC room of 25 degrees, I rarely cross 70 deg doing anything on the CPU or GPU, so it's mainly my exceedingly hot room that's doing it.

As for the displayport thing, I don't think there are any displayport using machines in this country >_>. Seriously they're STILL selling 8800GTS cards for $300 USD in shops here. I've never even seen a DVI cable in real life. Everyone here uses DVI or HDMI alone. I wish I could help more about the displayport thing, but unfortunately I can't XD.

We ship world wide but they will be US keyboards only. You will be able to fit your own in most models of course. If you have any further questions feel free to email us.
