How many people have ordered the 2090

I have been following this forum for about a month now and it seems like a million people have ordered the Sager NP2090, so i was curious about how many people have actually ordered this computer. So i decided to make a one question poll to get a number of how many people ordered the 2090. The minimum is two questions on a poll so i will make one "blank" were no one should place their vote, ok hope everyone understands.
So only vote if you have ordered a 2090!!!

I think it might be good to know which screen was ordered also...since the waiting times are different based on screen type.

Also all 2090 with WXGA and no specials(bluetooth,tvtunner and 2gig stick) ordered before july 5th were supposed to be shipped according to latest press release.
Anybody with this kind of order did not get shipping confirmation yet?

 

I would've gotten mine shipped if I hadn't held out for the 1 SODIMM 2 GB stick. I talked to Donald about that and he said he'll change my order to 2 SODIMM 2 GB RAM if Sager doesn't get their 1 x 2GB sticks by the second shipment comes around.

 

I'm probably not getting mine until September. I ordered WSXGA+ with 4GIG RAM, but I'm a patient man.

 

i got WXGA 4 gigs, so hopefully the WXGA will kep me in early august

why are there 4 for blank??? he mentioned that blank was not meant to be an option

 

I'm guessing in the sager forum alone probably 65-70

I actually ordered the Power Pro J 10:15, technically the samething heh. I was hoping to get it this week, but I guess the Bluetooth might have held it back. Was going to ask Donald about it on Monday.

ordered mine from xoticpc, but its still stuck on phase 1. i've emailed justin about it and hopefully, everything is going smoothly.

I actually joined this forum recently for the NP2090 anticipation. I ordered mine this month from powernotebooks.com, and Donald told me the wait would be 2-4 weeks. I suppose this is because I didn't go for any extras (1GB RAM sticks, no TV tuner, WXGA Screen, etc.). I consider myself pretty lucky if this wait time comes through, seeing as some of you guys have waited for 40+ days. Best of luck to those waiting for the first shipment!

 

I was told by sager there was a back order of 10 business days on the 9th. still no word -.-

 

After doing my wire transfer I went from Phase 1 to PRE-ORDER pending item arrival...so now its time to play the waiting game!

 

I ordered on the 9th from xotic, but got extras (2 gig stick, wsxga+ screen)... and the wait is killing me. They told me i'd get it by the end of july but now I'm being told mid-august. I got college to go to on the 14th! crap! Should I play the waiting game or just go 4 a similarly configured Dell 1520? haha My friend ordered that and got it in about 5 days.

 

justin said in another thread that they have receive the 2 gig sticks and they should not delay orders, so i went for that but the screens on the other hand are in short supply, I too hope i get mine before college(late August) but i will not change my mind, too good of a notebook for the$

i ordered june 20 and im still waiting. i did get the wsxga screen though.

 

But the dell is so pricey. The dell 1520 with 4 Gig of ram will run you approx $2600 (not to mention the video card has half the memory). Then again, time and money go hand in hand...so if you really need it by the 14th, then go for it.

 

Dells steals from people who add their memory. You're better off getting as little as you can from Dell and ordering what you need from NewEgg.

anybody know about upgrading the vid card after awhile on the 2090? or any other possible upgrades. what do you think the longevity is gonna be?

The graphics card will not be upgradeable on the 2090, like 99.999999999% of laptops.

However, you could upgrade the RAM, hard drive, and CPU if you're up for it.

If you treat the Sager nicely, as with any laptop, it should last you a long time if you keep the heat managed and air vents flowing, coupled with the Sager's good build quality as it's made by Compal.

Side note! Hows the fingerprint scanner on the cool to useful scale and can i bypass it as a security feature if i say...get a papercut on my index finger, or have to wear gloves for the duration of college because of allergies to studying

Well, this poll is:

1. FAR from scientific.
2. There are hundreds of orders from people who do not frequent this forum.
3. There are many more people that view this forum without posting than those who post.

So actually the 80 votes here are not representative of the total amount of orders.

 

Ordered Mine Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I ordered mine yesterday. I don't need it for another 1 1/2 months; but I still can't wait for it. I do intend on making some upgrades in the time I own it. The only upgrades I have in mind are doubling the RAM and adding a tuner. Other than that, I have nothing else in mind. I wish I could upgrade the GPU, but I guess I'll be fine with it.

 

Even if you are willing to do that, it is highly unlikely you'll be able to upgrade the GPU. You need to take into consideration that the physical, electric and thermal profiles of the new GPU are likely to be different than the older one.

 

I ordered a 2090 this morning from XoticPC.. nothing special except I changed the CPU to the 7300/2.0ghz

I was told to expect it to ship around mid August

 

Ordered mine around the 13th, hoping to get it in a couple of weeks. 4 GB RAM, and T7500 C2D upgrades.

 

Hopefully yall wont have to wait as long as the guys who have waited 40+ days, i hit 20 days today! lol ANNIVERSARY!

Ordered mine on the 12th.

T7500, 4GB , 200GB 7200RPM, and TV Tuner. Hopefully in less than a few weeks it'll be here.
