    Hey guys

I've been wondering how much time did u wait for your reseller to build your notebook

I've ordered from AVAdirect and they seem very slow.It took them a whole day to charge my credit card and then they say it's declined. I sent to them again but they didn't reply yet. They say the laptop will take about 2 weeks to arrive which I find weird. My order still on hold and it appears they didn't start on it yet.So if u guys experienced faster reseller, please tell me so I can cancel my order quickly

    Regards

Count yourself lucky with the 2-week delivery. Some of us waited a month for ours! It really depends on what company you go with, how many staff are there, and how many people have ordered, etc, etc.
2 weeks is quite a good delivery estimate in my opinion.

They said two weeks but I'm not sure now.The order is still on hold and it took them a whole day to charge my card and find out it's declined due to name misspell. Now it's the second day after I corrected the name and the order is still on hold.If they were professional, the should've find out about the credit card quickly and I could've corrected it in the same day and let them proceed with the production. Tomorrow is the thrid day and nothing has been done yet, I ordered two notebooks and I'm little worried now.

hmmm i'm thinkin perhaps u should cancel the order and order through another company, such as xoticpc. I ordered a new notebook last week and so far whenever i had a question they responded to me quite promptly within an hour or so.

I asked Kobalt if they could give me a speedy build as I'm leaving the country on the 24th, and alienware messed me around for a month.

They were very accomodating. I believe it has only taken 3-4 days to build, shipping in the next couple of days.

Thank you guys for response. I'll give AVADirect a chance till tomorrow to see if they respond to my message. If my credit card fails again, then this might be a sign to change the company to XoticPC maybe, but I really need to know how fast they are :). Kobalt seems fine, too bad they are not in USA :( AVAdirect asked for $199 per system ($398 total) to speed up building and they said 3-4 days are impossible

It's really weird how many have sager/clevo and no one actually answered the question.90 views and no one answered simple question. Is it secret that no body is telling how much he waited
Anyway, thanks to those who already responded

    ordered on 3rd
    payment taken 7th
    build start 19th
    shipped 22nd

the reason your card was refused was most probably a fraud measure by your bank. it is to protect you and your them. i had the same even though i have thousands in the bank. ring them up and get them to lift the restriction.

I ordered my np9262 from Sager on line a week ago Monday and I am getting it today. Order approved on Monday and shipped on Friday-that's fast enough for me.

It's because this thread exists already; just search for it. And also because if you're asking about the NP8660/M860TU, there were 2 distinct lag periods where there were a lot of orders, and I bet people who took about a month to get their notebook (myself) would have a much shorter time of it now.

    Ordered Oct 6th
    Payment cleared Oct 7th
    Build start Oct 7th
    Shipped Oct 10th

While I know you probably feel that they should have re-charged on the same day most of these companies do their payments en masse so while your business is important you are one of (hopefully) many customers for them. That being said however, going to two days after isn't really good, if I were you and I still wanted my laptop I would have been calling them every couple of hours or else emailing your sales rep and finding out what's going on.

Looking at Gophn's resellers page (not going to link its a sticky), AVA have a fairly high Reseller Rating so I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help resolve your issue.

Two weeks is a wee bit long UNLESS you're getting a decal or a laser etching. As you can see from above mine was out the door in 4 days, so if time is of real concern to you then contact another reseller, or for future purchases ask multiple resellers their order time or if there will be any extra length of time due to parts you want.

Hello, thanks guys for responses. I canceled my order at AVAdirect, and made another one at PNB. PNB they seem very good and it's supposed that I get the laptops next Wednesday. About my credit card, I found out that the bank deactivated it and I had to make new one, I felt bad for AVAdirect coz they weren't the only reason for slowing things down. However, their routine is slow and I have to fax a paper for the new credit card and I don't have fax near me which made things slower.

PNB sounds supportive and I'm glad I chose them.No particular reason why I chose them over XoticPC, they both seem fine
