On average, how long does it take http://www.powernotebooks.com to ship fairly standard notebooks? Specifically, I was looking at a Sager NP8660 with an upgraded proc and HD for what its worth. I know processing and building times vary, but I am looking for a ball park estimate (1/2/3 weeks).

You could always email them, they're exceedingly helpful when answering questions, trust me. In fact, they can likely give you something better than a ballpark figure...

Actually, just a side note here. You're from London? If so, is 'ball park estimate' a saying actually used there? I wouldn't think so, as ballparks don't really exist in England, but maybe that doesn't matter...

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I sent in a request and hopefully I hear back from them soon. My cat pissed on my Dell XPS and it is toast; I am back in the states for a few weeks and hopefully I will be able to get a replacement before I have to go back to London.

if they have the hardware you want, they would ship in 2-3 days after order

Oh. Sweet, UW? I'm in my 4th year there now, actually (though studying abroad currently). Must be rough going from Hawaii to Seattle weather during the year though...I don't envy you on that one. But that would explain your use of 'ballpark' anyway.

VAT. Also, even if there was no VAT, I seem to get screwed on the currency conversion (3% fee on top of a bad conversion rate.) In short, I would love to get a new notebook before I head back to London and I am guessing I have enough time if I order in the next day or so.

just contact PNB... ask for Donald if you can... he's a great rep and knowledgeable.

you can even work out a faster shipping method.

I though PNB didn't ship internationally. The only US retaillers that did was XoticPC and Pro-Star. I think its about less than a week to process and complete the order and maybe one week for shipping if you took express.
